Rydges Formosa Auckland Golf Resort

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Rydges Formosa Auckland Golf Resort with our four-year-old daughter. The spacious rooms were fantastic for our family, complete with a large bathroom. While some maintenance issues were noticeable, the welcoming staff, especially Kent, made our experience enjoyable. The stunning sunset views and nearby attractions like Maraetai Beach and Omana Regional Park offered perfect family bonding moments. We'll definitely return!

i really good spend 1 night in auckland. the staff were fantastic and amazing the whole time of my stay. the position of the hotel was stunning, outside of the front door that looked over the golf course.

We have booked deluxe villa with beautiful facilities. The food was great and the location was amazing!

The place was seriously disappointing. The breakfast took forever, and when we asked about it, the staff were so rude. Stale hashbrowns, undercooked burgers at dinner, and a rundown vibe made it a letdown for sure.

The hotel is fairly clean and the rooms are reasonably large and light filled. It has outstandingly accommodating employees that did n't provide the best service. The location of the property is favourable and amazing, facing sea.

Had a beautiful view of Rangitoto Island from our spacious room, which was definitely a highlight for our romantic escape. Loved the relaxing bath under the stars through the skylight-it was super dreamy! The location is great, perfect for a quiet getaway, and the sunsets are just fine!

The room wasn’t very clean; we found hair in the bathroom and dirt on the floors. Plus, the pillows were uncomfortable, and there wasn't enough hot water for a shower. Really disappointing for what we paid!

Despite the basic decor and some cleanliness issues, the location is fantastic, near parks and beaches that our daughter loved exploring. The public areas have potential, and with improvements, this could be a great family getaway.

A Relaxing Retreat

My recent trip to Auckland was primarily to visit the stunning Ayrlies Garden, which I had long desired to explore due to its renowned beauty and unique wetland ecosystem. I specifically chose the Rydges for its close proximity to this magnificent landmark and was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful amenities. The complimentary wireless Internet access was a great bonus, allowing me to share my experience in real-time. I also thoroughly enjoyed dining at the Nineteen, the onsite restaurant, which offered a good meal accompanied by amazing views of the surrounding landscape.

Fine views and good vibes in Auckland 🌅

The spacious villa gave me a lekker view of the coastline! The brekkie spread was tops, and the staff were super friendly-especialy Jass, he went out of his way to help with everything! Just chilling under those palm trees was a highlight!

Only bummer was the mattress, a bit too firm for my liking, but you know, it was still a solid stay!

A tranquil escape with fine views

The location is amazing, and waking up to the very nice ocean views was a highlight. The spacious room and friendly staff.

The dining experience fell flat. The restaurant had long wait times for our meals, and when they arrived, they were unfortunately cold. Breakfast options were limited and not well-prepared.

The hotel staff promptly accommodated my needs, and the layout provided ample space for relaxation. the room could have benefited from some maintenance, as it felt slightly outdated.

While my overall experience was positive, I did notice that the cleanliness of the bathroom could be improved. This minor issue slightly detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay.

The villa offered fine views and a spacious layout. The bathroom featured a large skylight, allowing natural light. The staff allowed an early check-in, a nice touch. The bathroom cleanliness was concerning. The shower had visible pink stains, and the sink drain needed attention. Communication with the staff regarding hot water issues was disappointing. The phone went unanswered during our call. While the reception area felt inviting, the dining options at breakfast were quite limited. There are some great elements, but upkeep is necessary for a seamless experience.

The Villa had a fine view of the water, and the spacious layout made it perfect for our family. Loved the gigantic bathroom!
